The Corcoran Solar Project is a 20 MWac single-axis tracking solar PV project. The project is anticipated to obtain Substantial Completion in September of 2013. All power generated will be sold to Pacific Gas & Electric.
QPG's turnkey EPC responsibilities for this project included full engineering and construction of all plant systems including procurement of electrical equipment and structural supports and preparation of the site including management and performance of all project grading and trenching. QPG also installed the support structures, module racking system, single-axis tracking system, PV modules, inverters, DC wiring and power vables with the associated collection equipment and all electrical systems for the entire project involving module connections and inverter installation. QPG procured and installed Yingli 295 W and 300 W and Canadian Solar 290 W poly-crystalline PV modules, Emerson 1.06 MW inverters, and a single-axis tracking solution from Array Technologies for these projects.
The Quanta team designed and optimized the project processes for installation and designed and installed the 34.5 - 115kV substation interconnect. Quanta subsidiaries that formed the Quanta team included Quanta Power Generation, Intermountain Electric and Dashiell Corporation.
